Babe Ruth with Ted Williams Signed Photograph

Babe Ruth with Ted Williams Signed Photograph

Two of the greatest athletes of the 20th Century grab the spotlight in this gorgeous modern print that is one of the few that shows Babe Ruth in full color. The two legends' careers did not overlap and this was the first-ever meeting between the two. This shot was taken in July of 1942 at Fenway Park during a charity game in which the (Military) Service All- Stars, led by Ted Williams and coached by the Bambino, took on the Washington Senators. Williams led the team to victory with a late-inning home run. One month after this photograph, Williams was called to duty in WWII. Within a year, Ruth would be diagnosed with the cancer that eventually took his life. Beautifully framed and matted, the photo measures 22" x 19" (27.75" x 23.25" in the frame). There is no Ruth signature but Ted Williams signed in 7.5/10 Sharpie.
