Baseball and photography have been Don Marquess' dual passions throughout his life, but it wasn't until the historic baseball season of 1998 that Marquess brought these loves together and took his first photograph of a baseball. Inspired by St. Louis Cardinals slugger Mark McGwire's pursuit of the major league home run record, Marquess got the idea to photograph 62 baseballs. One of the first products of his experiment is offered here, "Old Glory". A patriotic testimonial for America’s favorite pastime, this vibrantly colored work of art measures 40" x 21" (matted to 50" x 32") and is in NRMT condition. Surely to be the centerpiece of any room in which it is hung.
