Baseball Negative Collection 1930's and 1940's (225)
Izzy Kaplan was a cameraman for the NY Daily Mirror since 1925. He and his cigar were well known to sports fans who sometimes cheered his appearance at sports events just as much as they did for the athletes. This is a collection of his many large format negatives, both glass and film. They have a heavy New York theme to them because Kaplan himself was a native New Yorker. The baseball negatives include some team photos and Stars of the Day like DiMaggio. Negatives are from the '30s and '40s with many classic shots. In person viewing is suggested.
