Baseball Signed 34 Times by Tom Seaver (PSA)

Presented is a terrific opportunity to obtain a truly one-of-a-kind item from the aptly named "Tom Terrific," Hall of Fame pitcher Tom Seaver - who passed away in 2020. In his 20-year MLB career, Seaver won 311 games, was a 3-time Cy Young winner, a 3-time ERA leader, the 1967 NL Rookie of the Year, a 12-time All-Star, and the anchor of the World Champion Miracle Mets of 1969. Seaver took winning very seriously, yet he also had a terrific sense of humor. He once recalled facing 6'7", 255 lb. slugger Frank Howard in an All-Star game, seeing his infield back-up out of pure fear, and then seeing his catcher, Johnny Bench, signaling for a change-up - a pitch that could result in a viscous line-up drive right back at the pitcher. Then Seaver saw that Bench was laughing. "So, I started laughing too," said the hurler. "Right there on the mound in the middle of an All-Star game." Seaver's sense of humor extended to the clubhouse as well. This baseball was supposed to be one that would circulate around the clubhouse, with each New York Met signing - a standard signed team baseball. Instead, Seaver pulled a prank and signed the ball 34-times! It left no room for another signature and must have caused much raucous laughter. The signed baseball is an Official National League (Feeney) ball that has some toning. Seaver neatly inscribed signatures were written in black pen and his signatures rate around 8/10. The ball comes with a full PSA Letter of Authenticity. This unique item is a unique keepsake that shows the playful humor of a terrific icon.
