The “Holy Grail” of record collecting. This Capitol #2553, The Beatles <i>Yesterday and Today</i> 1st state Butcher Cover prototype. This NRMT (8+) record cover measures the correct 1st state 12 3/8” and displays even and vibrant print texture. The actual record was never part of the prototype package. The jacket front is devoid of the Capitol 2553 designation. There is no printed matter on the spine and the rear cover is blank. Absolute MONSTER piece of Beatles record memorabilia.
