"Best Picture" Columbia Pictures Oscar Award
1935. This shattering symbol is the most famous award in human memory. The front plaque reads "Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences First Award COLUMBIA PICTURES for the Best Picture Of The year." On the verso a matching plaque reads, "15th Anniversary Columbia Pictures 1920-1935." Oscar stands 6" tall and is exact in every way to the larger one (made by the same manufacturer). This was the type presented to child stars like Shirley Temple. It was likely presented at an Oscars award dinner. A crack at the feet of the sword wielding man has been nearly unnoticeably restored, o/w Ex.
