Bill Freehan Detroit Tigers Game Used Glove and Spikes

Bill Freehan Detroit Tigers Game Used Glove and Spikes

Circa 1960s-70 first baseman's mitt and spikes game used by Detroit Tigers star Bill Freehan. Mitt exhibits super use and was worn for multiple years - when Freehan wasn't catching for the Tigers, he could usually be found at first base. Spalding mitt has "FREEHAN" written on the thumb and it is signed and personalized in black marker, although the signature has bled into the leather a bit. Adidas cleats are also well worn and have "FREE" written on one tongue, well kept but still display nice use. Freehan played all of his 15 MLB seasons in the Motor City and was considered one of MLB's premier catchers, sporting 11 All-Star appearances to go with five Gold Glove awards.
