Bill Veeck Brand Shirt

Elder Manufacturing Company of St. Louis produced The Mark Twain Pleisure Shirt line in the 1940's for men. Bill Veeck the noted baseball pioneer and marketing genius was honored by Elder with his own line. This beige short sleeved double breast pocket shirt was manufactured in 1949. This size Medium shirt has a neck tag containing Veeck's image wearing an identical shirt which is embroidered in brown with "Bill Veeck" embroidered in brown and "Mark Twain Shirt" embroidered in red. The shirt was #'d 298674 and was registered with the company. Taking customer service to a new level, the shirt could actually be returned for a new one if the purchaser was dissatisfied with the way it wore and returned it with the Registry card. The shirt has been stored in a plastic shirt bag and appears to have never been unfolded. Shirt is MT and looks the same as when it was first packed at the factory.
