Billy Evans Signed Letter
Billy Evans joined the American League umpire crew in 1906 at the age of 22, becoming the youngest major league umpire. He worked six Fall Classics in his 22-year career and was elected to the HOF. Typed letter on his personal stationery is dated August 8, 1949. Letter is to Ed Barrow and talks about Red Rolfe. Signed "Billy Evans" in 8/10 blue ink. Letter is EX-MT with mailing folds.
