Black Sox Shoeless Joe Jackson's Insurance Policy on His Liquor Store
"Shoeless Joe" Jackson was banned from baseball after 1920 when the Black Sox scandal came to light. He went on to make another kind of living. This policy, good from July 7, 1951 to July 7, 1952, insured Shoeless Joe's liquor store for $8000.00 with a total premium of $115.20. It was issued by the Norfolk and Dedham Mutual Fire Insurance Company in Dedham, Massachusetts. Mint condition.
