Bob Cain Single Signed Eddie Gaedel Story Ball
The story of diminutive Eddie Gaedel is one of the most oft-told in baseball folklore, yet history seldom recalls the pitcher who dealt the 3’7” St. Louis Brown a four-pitch walk in his lone at-bat. This Official American League (Brown) baseball is NRMT and is not only signed by Bob Cain, but the Detroit Tiger hurler goes on to describe his version of the once-in-a-lifetime experience. As a post-script to the story, on Gaedel’s passing in 1961, Cain was the only person associated with Major League Baseball who attended his funeral. All writing is in Cain's immaculate handwriting and rates 8/10.
