Bottom of the Sixth, Norman Rockwell Signed Lithograph + Two Other Prints
Norman Rockwell nearly always suggests a story behind his scenes. Here, the umpires at Ebbets Field debate the prospect of rain, while the scoreboard suggests the ongoing debate in the background. The Pittsburgh players are ready to play, and a touch of blue sky suggests the game will soon be underway - but the raindrops are large... This stunning 18" x 19" lithograph has been professionally matted and framed under glass to a dimension of 25 1/2" x 26 1/2", and is signed prominently at the lower right by Norman Rockwell. Condition is Near-Mint. Also included in this offering are two additional lithographs, both matted and framed under glass. The first, of St. Louis Hall of Famer Lou Brock, is signed boldly by Brock. Condition is Near-Mint, but should be re-mounted. The second lithograph shows Dodgers great Duke Snider in closeup and three action poses, and is numbered 122 / 407 and signed by the noted sports artist Angelo Marino. Duke Snider has signed in thin silver sharpie at the lower right corner. Condition on this superb print is Near-Mint.
