Brian Jones Signed 1963 Performance Contract
Contract for a Sept. 1963 performance at the Rex Ballroom in Cambridge, England. Brian signed as leader of the band, the cause of future dissension particularly between Brian and Mick, ultimately leading to Brian's untimely death in 1969. The Rolling Stones played for a mere 150 pounds about $240 in today's market. The autograph is simply beautiful a "10" and condition of the contract is EX-MT. Also included, is the letter attachment that went with the contract from the promoter to the band's management, listed as Philip Hayward Esq., Contract measures 8x10" and the letter: 6.75x8" both are on "Eric Easton Ltd" stationary with a Regent Street address, the hub of swinging London in the 1960s.
