Briggs Stadium Figural Seat Side

Briggs Stadium Figural Seat Side

Collect this seat side that dates from the days of Ty Cobb, from the old Tiger Stadium when it was Navin Field and Briggs Stadium. Navin Field opened on April 20, 1912, the same day that Fenway Park made its debut. In 1938 the ballpark became Briggs Stadium, and it was renamed Tiger Stadium in 1961. The last game played at Tiger Stadium was at the end of the 1999 season. Think of the players seen from this seat side: Not only Cobb, but Crawford, Cochrane, Gehringer, Greenberg, Kaline, Cash, Lolich and McLain. Very desirable seat side has figural Detroit Tiger in cast iron. These are rare and were only used at ends of aisles. EX condition, it has been meticulously repainted to its original look. Measures 27" long.
