Buffalo Sabres 50th Anniversary Carter Hutton Game Used Goalie Pads and Issued Gloves
Spectacular set of hockey goalie equipment includes leg pads game worn by Buffalo Sabres netminder Carter Hutton in limited edition 50th Anniversary motif used only for select games during the 2019-20 season. Note that this lot includes leg pads, glove, and blocker, though only the pads have been used. CCM Extreme Flex 4 pads are patterned in navy, white, and gold, with the gold coloring replacing Buffalo's traditional yellow for the 13 games in which they wore anniversary-themed garb. Pads have been photo-matched for game use. Unused glove and blocker are of the same CCM model and color scheme but display no use; these were likely emergency extras, as they would exhibit at least practice use for break-in purposes if they were the backup set. Hutton's name tag is on the toe of each pad, and his name is embroidered in white into the cuff of both blocker and glove. Though he served as a backup to now-Boston Bruins star goalie Linus Ulmark, Hutton did start 30 games in '19-20 while posting a 3.18 goals against average.
