Cal Ripken Jr. Autographed Base From His Last Game
Twenty-one years, the highlights, the friendships, “The Streak”. It’s impossible to imagine the thoughts and emotions that charged through Cal as he played the final nine innings of his legendary career. Signed to the left of a screened image of himself, marked with “1981-2001”, on this unique “Original Hollywood base”, created especially for this final game which would mark the end of his remarkable career. Four small affixed plates on the base’s sides, 2 display “8”, one reads “Orioles”, and the other is an American flag. Written on underside is, “October 6, 2001, 1st Inning, 1st”. Displays good game use and includes MLB authenticating hologram on underside. This was more than a game it was the anointment of a man into baseball sainthood.
