Cardinals “National League Champions”/”2004 National League Champions” Signs From Left Field Wall
Adjoining signs from the Busch Stadium Left Field Wall is a breathtaking double-dip all for Cardinal fans, as one lists all of the team’s pennant-winning years and the other marks the last pennant (to that point). You’ll need a large area to display this anointed section of wall, but what a display it will be! Wall is made up of ten separate panels each 86” tall. The “National League Champions” sign is on the left side, with panels measuring in width 48”, 48”, 40”, 39.5” and 48.” The 16 pennant-winning years are arrayed in four columns of four, from 1926 to 2004, each in white against a green vinyl background. The “2004 National League Champions” sign on the right is a fruit salad of colors against a green vinyl background, across six panels measuring in width “32, 48”, 40”, 40”, 40” and an end piece of 24”. “Champions” is printed in white at the center. Below is “Cardinals” and “2004” in red and white and “Saint Louis” in white. Above is the National League logo in red, white and blue and “National League” in white. Among the plethora of routine game-related damage – spike marks, soiling, etc. – are indented circles left by batted balls smashing into the fence. Can’t get much more authentic than that.
