Three marvelous 5.25x3.5” negatives of Carl Erskine on the mound for the Brooklyn Dodgers in the 1953 World Series. He is shown pitching to Yankee pinch hitter Don Bollweg attempting to tie Howard Ehmke’s previous record of 13. He would strike out Bollweg to tie and then Johnny Mize to break it with 14 k’s.
