Carpe Diem 2015 Belmont Stakes Exercise Saddle Cloth

Carpe Diem 2015 Belmont Stakes Exercise Saddle Cloth

The most important Belmont Stakes in 37 years, the 2015 running featuring American Pharoah winning the coveted Triple Crown has set the collectible world on fire. Race worn items associated with this specific race are almost non-existent and certain to appreciate significantly over time. This saddle cloth was worn by Carpe Diem while training during the week before the running of the Belmont. However, he was injured in training and Todd Pletcher scratched him from running in the race. He only ran six times in his career, winning the Grade 1 Blue Grass and Grade 1 Breeders' Futurity. Second in the 2014 Breeders' Cup Juvenile he finished 4th in the Eclipse Award voting for best Two-Year-Old Male.
