Carpenters Signed Contract
A personal services contract from Karen and Richard Carpenter's music company, ARS Nova, Inc., formed after their string of early '70s smashes like "Close To You" and "We've Only Just Begun." The contract, dated April 1, 1971, agrees to pay a weekly salary of $550 to bass player Daniel Woodhams. Karen's signature is in blue pen and Richard's in black sharpie, with both grading a near perfect 10. Great find for Carpenters buffs.
