Cartier Silver Ashtray Presented by William DuPont, Jr.
Stunning silver ashtray wass made by longtime maker of luxury Cartier, with their stamp on bottom. Given out in the 1950s as a gift for horse business friends by zillionaire scion William "Bill" DuPont. The piece is engraved with his more informal initials "B du P" hence the more personal nature of the gift. The famous horseman and mogul was also father of John DuPont of "Foxcatcher" infamy who murdered Olympian Dave Schultz. The ashtray measures 5".
