Casey Stengel Signed Letter with Joe Jackson Content
This handwritten note - penned by one baseball legend about another - is truly a one-of-a-kind item. Written by Hall of Fame manager Casey Stengel, this note, on 5 7/8" x 6 1/4" stationery and written in blue ballpoint pen, reads: "DEAR SIR:- JOE JACKSON WAS A GREAT NOTED BALL PLAYER BUT ALL HALL OF FAME RULES ARE JUDGED BY COMMISSIONER GROUP.". It is then signed, underneath, by The Old Professor himself, Casey Stengel. A JSA LOA is included in this lot.
