Charlie Chaplin Personal Photographic Christmas Cards (5)
The best-known early American actor and comedian is Charlie Chaplin, star of the Silent Film era in the early 20th century. This collection of Chaplin's personal photographic Christmas cards contains five photos and cards, each from the the late 1970s when Charlie was in the twilight of his life. Two photos are in black and white, with the other three are in color. All of the cards are signed by Charlie's fourth wife Oona: "A Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, Oona & Charlie Chaplin." One card features a picture of Charlie from April 1977, which was used as a card for Christmas of 1977, the day on which Charlie Chaplin passed away. Each photo is 4x6", with one card showing glue stains because it was separated from the photo. VG.
