Chico Marx Signed 1950 Marx Brothers Biography

Biography of the Marx Brothers with original dust jacket printed in 1950, has inscription and autograph from Chico Marx, whose buffonish stage and film presence belied a smart, cunning businessman. Born Leonard Marx, he was nicknamed for his obession with the ladies, or "chicks". He was the brother who guided the five brothers (Groucho, Chico, Harpo, Gummo and Zeppo) to stardom, by taking over the act's management from their mother, Minnie, and through audacity secured the Brothers their first bookings and their MGM contract with Irving Thalberg. The autograph and inscription is in black ballpoint and is 10 out of 10. The dust jacket is VG, has a few chips and corner creases, the book itself is EX+.
