A splendid vintage postcard sized photo of charter member Hall of Famer, Christy Mathewson, candidly shaking hands with an admiring fan with outstretched hand from the passenger seat of his car. Signed in black fountain pen, “Yours Truly, Christy Mathewson” in the upper left white part to the photo. Ink is slightly faded and bled, but still quite bold, receiving a “7” grade out of a possible 10. Perfectly placed for displaying this rare specimen. Photo is creased diagonally with some other minor creasing and slightly toned. VG.
