Chuck Dressen 1953 Baseball All-Star Game Award Tray
This silver-plated tray has the makers mark on the back and was awarded to manager Chuck Dressen who led the National League squad to victory in the 1953 All Star Game. The 1953 Major League Baseball All-Star Game was the 20th playing of the mid-summer classic between the All-Stars teams of the American League and National League and was held on July 14, 1953 at Crosley Field in Cincinnati. The tray reads "Charles Dressen, 1953 Major League All Star Game, Crossley Field Cincinatti, Ohio. National League 5, American League 1." The platter, which measures 27" handle-to-handle by 16", is in EX-MT condition.
