Churchill Downs: 1) Portion of the actual finish line that originally spanned the historic racetrack. It is 3.5" long, framed & numbered 412 of 500. After witnessing 11 of 12 TC winners, it was removed in 1994 due to technology innovations. 2) Actual wood from the Twin Spires with plaque from Churchill Downs stating it was used since 1895 until the Twin Spires were renovated. Dimensions: 4x3.5x1” thick. 3) Metal sign 16x5.5" showing 1881 Ky. Derby winner, Hindoo, jockey Jimmy McLaughlin, the Dwyer Brothers (owners), and trainer James Rowe. Black with gold lettering, it was displayed until the track was modified to make way for the new terrace. 4) Solid bronze medallion containing authentic racetrack dirt from the famous track surface. Scene of the Churchill Downs grandstand is on the medallion’s reverse. Calumet Farm: 1) Nylon jacket with flannel lining, medium, in pristine condition. "Calumet Farm, Lexington, Ky." on reverse. Original stable jacket has famous devil’s red and blue colors. 2) Horseshoe worn by a thoroughbred from one of the country’s outstanding racing outfits. It has been sealed and authenticated by the trainer. All are NM-MT.
