Circa 1923 Yankee Stadium Usher's Badge
Well before Mickey Mantle first claimed the number 7, this badge - believed to originate from the original 1923 Yankee Stadium dedication - also bore the famous numeral. The badge features the original finish and has not been cleaned. There is a scratch on the front but otherwise is in EX condition. One of only two discovered, the badge is distinguished by embedded letters with black enamel paint that read: "USHER YANKEE STADIUM N.Y. with "7" in between the city initials. A classic artifact from a bygone era.
