Circa 1947 Brooklyn Dodgers Porcelain Bum

Circa 1947 Brooklyn Dodgers Porcelain Bum

Outstanding porcelain version of the Rempel Brooklyn Dodger Bum is the black version - the first of its kind that we have ever seen. He is posed exactly like the collectible rubber Rempel toy, and is rendered in the same style. Paint job at nearly 100% and as stunning as the day he was created. Born out of the era of Jackie Robinson's arrival in baseball, he was most likely dreamed up as a symbol of protest to Robinson's presence in the Major Leagues.
