Circa 1955 Gil Hodges Brooklyn Dodgers Game Worn Jacket
Brooklyn's adopted son, Gil Hodges, sported this snazzy satin jacket on those cool spring, summer and fall nights at Ebbets Field and on the road during tat magical championship season of 1955. There's Skinner Tackle Twill size 44 tagging in the collar, number "14" sewn on the left sleeve in white tackle twill and wool lining inside. Shows use but is still in very nice shape with no rips, and the zipper on the front still works. An Indiana native, Hodges became so beloved in Brooklyn, he was lifted to hero status. A stellar first baseman, Hodges won the first three Gold Glove awards and later went on to lead the New York Mets to their first-ever World Series crown.
