Circa 1957 Boom Boom Geoffrion Game Used Stick
Superb look to this circa 1957 hockey stick game used by Montreal Canadians Hall of Famer Bernie "Boom Boom" Geoffrion. CCM stick has a straight blade with "Custom Made for GEOFFRION" and number 5 stamped on one side of the shaft; the other has CCM branding as well as, "Supplied by Raymond Hardware Ltd Sporting Goods." The only tape is near the base of the shaft, though it's possible that tape has been removed from the butt end. The tape-free blade has an unusual and interesting stamp, reading "Pattern Made by Ernie Ereinden EXTRA SPECIAL" on both sides. Extensive use throughout includes a crack to the end of the blade, and some red and blue paint transfers. This stick dates from the era of hockey's greatest dynasty, the Montreal Canadians of the 1950s - and particularly, the late '50s. Geoffrion was a key component of that Montreal juggernaut, playing all but two of his 16 NHL seasons at the fabled Forum.
