Circa 1962 Seattle Rainiers Team Publicity Photos with Autographs (35)
Johnny Pesky bounced around baseball for a few years managing various teamsuntil he was asked to return to his beloved Boston Red Sox. Once the deal was made Pesky was assigned to manage the Seattle Rainiers for the 1961 and 1962 season before taking over the Red Sox in 1963. From his time in Seattle comes this nice grouping of Seattle Rainiers team publicity photos. All believed to be Type I examples, this collection features (35) total photographs with (27) of them having been vintage signed including Johnny Pesky, Dalton Jones, Wilbur Wood, Curt Jenson, Mel Parnell, Dave Morehead, Bill Harrell (2), Billy MacLeod (2), Harry Malmberg, Merlin Nippert, Elmer Singleton (2), Pete Smith (2), George Spencer, Bill Spanswick, Jerry Stephenson, George Spencer, David Hall (2), Bob Heffner, Russell Gibson, Bobby Gene Smith, Rac Slider and Archie Skeen. PCL keepsakes from this vintage are tough to come by and rarely feature fan favorites such as Pesky.
