Circa 1978-79 Colorado Rockies Game Worn Jersey

Circa 1978-79 Colorado Rockies Game Worn Jersey

A relic of a bygone era, this game-worn jersey circa 1978-79 comes from the Colorado Rockies of the NHL, a past iteration of today's New Jersey Devils. The Rockies popped up in 1976 and spent six years in Denver before fading into the mists of history in 1982. The blue jersey is all-original except for the name plate which has been removed from the back. The Rockies logo is heat pressed on the front, while the number "28" appears on the back and both sleeves. This number was worn by Paul Messier and Kevin Krook during the 1978-79 season and Bob Atwell the following year. The jersey shows good use with stick marks and board burns on the body and sleeves. It is in the old style, with a double-button loop fight strap inside and a Rawlings size 48 tag in the collar. It comes with a Letter of Authenticity.
