Circa 1990 Wayne Gretzky "Blacked Out" Sherwood Trial Stick

Circa 1990 Wayne Gretzky "Blacked Out" Sherwood Trial Stick

Intriguing Sherwood all black hockey stick that Gretzky used as a trial after his contract with Titan ran out circa 1990. Ultimately, Gretzky chose Easton. The stick comes from Mike Bernstein who was the stick boy for the 1987 Canada Cup team and the summer trainer for Gretzky. The piece shows visible use to the taped blade and has a Jack the Gripper grip. Shown is a photo taken at Gretzky's Brantford, Ontario home where you can see the same model all black stick with black grip in the center. We are not saying this is the same exact stick shown in the photo. An interesting Gretzky piece of memorabilia.
