Circa 2000-01 Sean Burke Phoenix Coyotes Twice-Signed Game Worn Jersey
Circa 2000-01 Phoenix Coyotes signed-twice jersey was game worn by netminder Sean Burke. With the unusual color scheme of sand, forest green, brick red, and black with desertscape trim on collar, sleeves, and bottom (in deference to the team's southwest locale); jersey has CCM and size 58 collar tagging, with CCM care tag on inside seam. Their unconventional "Kachina Coyote" logo patch is across the chest, number 1 is on sleeves and back in red-on-green tackle twill, name is above rear number on a plate in same style letters. Burke played for the 'Yotes from 1999-2004, but shoulder patches help nail down the use period. The right shoulder has a Phoenix Coyotes moon patch; the opposite side bears a patch of the same design reading "Goals for Kids." This is a nod to a charitable organization supported by the Winnipeg Jets franchise when they moved to Arizona in 1994, and it was swapped out for a matching Coyotes' patch for the '01-02 season. Light use shown includes loose threads. Burke has signed in 6/10 black marker on the left side of the collar as well as near his number on back. Though never considered a star goalie, Burke was good enough to craft an 18-year NHL career with no less than eight different franchises.
