Clarence Clemons 1999-2000 Stage Used and Signed Saxophone
The Big Man’s blazing tenor sax solo on “Born to Run” lifted Springsteen to power rocker, and the instrument into a font of power itself. Little wonder that a Clemons sax has traveled in royal style through the years, in a steamer trunk reserved just for this precious cargo. The Keilworth JK he used in 1999-2000 is being offered here in flawless condition, though the trunk has clearly weathered worldwide punishment. Black nickel plated body and gold lacquered keys. Clemons’s signature appears both inside the horn (9/10) and on a felt patch stuck onto it near the JK logo, reading “With love, Clarence Clemons,” a 7/10. Comes with its black Under Cover carry case. The key-locking trunk -- with “Mr. C #1” stenciled in white on top -- is red with silver borders and is appended with stickers from Airlines, cargo companies, music stores and 2 “Fragile” labels. He’s not called King of the World for nothing.
Proceeds to benefit Light of Day Foundation
