Folk artist (and minor league umpire) George Sosnak (1924 - 1992) passionately detailed these six gorgeous orbs with his intricate and colorful style, inspired by his love of the game of baseball, and in light of the Detroit Tigers 2006 World Series play, we offer these fabulous hand-painted artworks. Each ball is consistently anchored by an image of a fanged tiger, with two panels brimming with Sosnak’s playful imagery, while the other two panels are jotted with Detroit players’ signatures. Years included are: 1968 World Champions with Kaline, Wert, Smith, Stanley, etc.; 1974 with Kaline, Houk, Brown and more; 1979 with Kaline (coach), Tramell, etc.; 1980 with Anderson, Tramell, Parrish; and 1988, and 1989. Balls average EX, while signatures average 7/10.
