Collection of Signed Baseballs From Red Schoendienst (95+)
This is the remainder of Red Schoendienst's personal collection that we have been selling for the past year, and the last of his signed baseballs. The majority of the balls are multi and/or team signed and most have a St. Louis Cardinals theme. Among the single signed are several of Stan Musial. The balls are either official National League or Cardinals souvenir balls, many having been team signed by the Cardinals from the 1980s and 1990s including some from the late 1990s with Mark McGwire. The earliest specimens here go back as far as the 1940s with a minor league ball with Red on it and a late 1940s National League All-Star ball (partial with Stan Musial). Others of note are 1951 Cardinals (no Musial), late 1980s NL All-Star team, 1964 NY Yankees (clubhouse Mantle and Maris) signed at the 1964 World Series, and three 1982 World Champion St. Louis Cardinals team balls (Official WS balls). A few other 1980s NL teams are represented by the Astros, Reds and Mets. There's a Cardinals Old Timers' ball with Musial, and a bonus of 18 unsigned or facsimile signed baseballs. The overall condition of the balls is VG-EX while signatures average 6/10. There's tremendous break-up value here.
