Collection of Vintage Bobbing Heads (7)

Collection of Vintage Bobbing Heads (7)

Bobbing heads have existed since the mid 19th century but the types we are familiar with became popular in the 1950’s. This collection is from the hard to find types that were made in the 60’s. They are made of composition as opposed to the current plastic ones. These bobbing heads represent 7 MLB clubs and come in a few different styles. Three are cherubic looking fellows with closed mouthed smiles, with their helmets a bit off center and hair curling up over the front of the caps (White Sox, Giants, Angels). Two others look similar except that the hair remains under the cap and you can see their teeth when they smile (Senators, Red Sox). Two of the bobbing heads show team mascots rather than player’s faces (Reds, Indians). Senators, Reds and Indians have green bases while the others have white bases. All are between 6-1/2-7-1/2" and are still in perfect working order. The Indians doll is even still in its original box.
