Color Lithographs of Champion Jockeys Issued by The Goodwin Bros. & W.S. Kimball in the Late 1880s (2)
1). Compilation of the top four jockey cards issued by Goodwin Bros., circa 1888. They are: a. James McLaughlin, b. ‘Snapper” Garrison, c. Isaac Murphy, & d. English champion Charles Wood. Measures about 6x7.75". 2). Four top horsemen cards issued by the W.S. Kimball company compiled in one lithograph, 1887, A42. The jockeys are James McLaughlin and Isaac Murphy. The remaining 2 are John Murphy, champion driver of harness horses, and Marve Beardsley, champion long distance rider from the Wild West. Measures about 6” W x 7.5” H. Both are extremely rare, in excellent plus condition with vibrant colors & no rips or tears.
