From the 1866 inaugural season at famous and historical Jerome Park: 1) Tuesday, 9/11 – description of the new club, track and stands. 2) Saturday, 9/22 – further details on the new course and upcoming program. 3) Monday, 9/24 – prior to inauguration day. 4) Tuesday, 9/25 – particulars on track condition & horses entered to start. 5-8) Write-up and results of the four day meet: 9/26, 10/2, 10/3, & 10/4. 9) Write-up and results of extra day on 11/9. 10) 10/18/1867 – the outstanding racehorse, Kentucky, ran his long awaited time trial at Jerome Park. 11) on July 14, 1872, also on page 1, is the unprecedented results at Saratoga in that all four winners on the program were former, or would be, Belmont Stakes winners. The unmarked papers, in wonderful condition, are truly historic and extremely difficult to obtain. They are intact and the only few other exemplary examples that may exist would likely be found in libraries, or on microfilm.
