Complete Set of Playboy Magazines Including Extras (over 600 publications)

If you're a man between the ages of 18 and 80, Playboy is meant for you. So wrote an obscure young publisher named Hugh Hefner in the first issue, which appeared in December 1953 and curiously bears neither the date nor Hefner's name. After sinking all his money into the issue, Hef doubted there'd be a second issue, and if it failed he didn't want to be associated with it. To the great relief of millions of men in every age group, that maiden issue went on to sell 54,175 copies, a phenomenal number for the time. Playboy was here to stay. Every reason why this outstanding run of over 600 issues (December 1953 to present) is so valuable in understanding the evolution of sexual attitudes. These historic issues have nary a nick or rabbit ear and must be rated at least EX overall with no mailing labels. In the case of the debut issue, which famously bears Marilyn Monroe on the cover and nude inside, the condition is VG with a small amount of writing on the cover. Each issue is encased in a clear plastic envelope. This outstanding lot are also essential "gets" for the Playboy connoisseur: 1) the 1956 hardbound Playboy annual; 2) 1964 Best of Playboy Volumes 1 to 8; 3) 1971 Playboy Holiday album; 4) 1963 Playboy cartoon album; 5) 1971 Playboy the Youth Culture; 6) 1970 Playboy the Sexual Revolution; 7) 1973 Pocket Playboy #1 issue; 8) 1965 & 1981 Playmate Calendars (first issue with no mailing label); 9) first three issues of the Hefner publication Oui Magazine (October, November, December 1972); 10) first two issues of the F. Lee Bailey publication Gallery Magazine (November and December 1972); 11) 1973 Playboy on the Town paperback pocket-size; 12) 1972 Playboy cartoons paperback pocket-size ("I didn't raise our son to be a soldier"); 13) 1972 Playboy's book of Parties paperback pocket-size; 14) 1966 first issue of "Playboy", Harvard Lampoon parody.
