Cumberland Posey Signed High School Diploma
Cumberland Posey was a player, manager, and team owner in baseball's Negro Leagues. He became known as the father of the Homestead Grays, the team he played for, managed, and eventually owned. This lot contains the 1945 high school diploma of one Dorothy Elizabeth Riling from Homestead High School in Homestead, Pennsylvania. The diploma is signed by Posey, who was then a Director, presumably on the school board. The signature, in black pen, reads "C.W. Posey" and appears in the lower left corner of the document. Comes with LOA.
