Dale Earnhardt's Race Worn Helmet from Final Season
The Babe Ruth of NASCAR, Dale Earnhardt was propelled to national stardom in a flash. He was just as quickly taken from us during his fatal final lap of the 2001 Daytona 500. Offered is one of the last helmets ever worn for a race by NASCAR legend, The Intimidator. Original Goodwrench black helmet is a size 7 ? and properly decaled. Authenticating “7 time Winston Cup Champion” decal on the back, was made available only to Dale Earnhardt. The custom design and shape of the helmet was also tailored to his exact specs. Displays consistent, light use. Helmet is completely intact with the microphone and cord still attached on the right side by the mouth as well as the chinstrap. The inner lining has been replaced by Simpson. His last lap at the 2001 Daytona 500 proved fatal, but his legacy will live on forever. LOA.
