Derek & The Dominoes Layla Gold Record
The "Layla" LP (1970, Atco SD2-704) is a pillar of classic rock. The short-lived ensemble that was the Dominos provided an outlet for Clapton to vent his then unrequited and secret passion for the wife of his best friend, George Harrison, and the result was a song played ad infinitum on FM radio then and now. The gold record, given to promotion man Brian Interland is displayed with the RIAA plaque and the LP cover illustration of Patti Harrison (soon to be Mrs. Clapton). Mint.
