Collection of 31 copies of checks sent from the Detroit Red Wings office to Players of the Game from Oct. 1976-Feb. 1977.What did those guys get for that honor? Not much -- $25 for being First Star, $15 for Second Star, $10 for Third Star. Winners who were mailed checks c/o their teams include Guy Lapointe, Nick Libett, Rod Gilbert, Reed Larson, Michel Bergeron, Ed Giacomin, Yvon Cournoyer, Peter Mahovlich, Red Berenson, etc. Also a $487.60 check to Alex Delvecchio Ent. for custom imprinted coffee mugs. Check copies 6.5 x 8.5" and VG w/foxing of the edges and includes 2 Olympia Stadium envelopes (G w/foxing, shredding) used to mail checks.
