Earl Torgeson Baseball Photographs from SFX Archives (18)
Earl Torgeson had a 15 year career in both the American and National Leagues. This collection of SF Examiner archive photos (18) spans his playing years from 1947-1961. Prints are mostly 8" x 10" and range in quality from VG-NRMT. Most are EX plus. There are two shots from his rookie season with the Boston Braves; one with Bill Klem, the other with manager Billy Southworth. There are also photos of an altercation between Torgeson and Giants catcher Sal Yvars that occured in 1952. Other images include he and Bobby Thomson, Jack Tighe, Al Lopez, Steve Gromek and Johnny Logan.
