Early 1900s Ping Pong Set in Original Wooden Display Box

Originally named table tennis in Britain, ping-pong reached the shores of America for the first time in the late 19th Century. This grand old set in handsome wooden box was manufactured by renowned game company Parker Brothers shortly after the turn of the century. It contains six paddles, seven balls two stands and net, all of which are original and neatly housed in three compartments. The 21" x 11" x 4" box reads: "CAUTION: PING-PONG ALWAYS BEARS THE FAMOUS AND REGISTERED TITLE PING-PONG UPON THE BOX, RACKETS AND BALLS. REG. U.S. PATENT OFFICE PROTECTED IN AMERICA, GREAT BRITAIN AND CANADA U.S. TRADE MARK NO. 36854 COPYRIGHTED BY PARKER BROTHERS INC." Overall very good condition.
