Yes, people did it a hundred years ago, and yes they did it for the camera. Indeed, some of the earliest photos recorded had sexual subjects, as can be seen in this fascinating collection of approximately 134 turn-of-the-century real photo postcards (unposted) that in some cases present as daring and explicit a brand of erotica as any modern-day porn -- e.g. a rear shot of a woman performing oral sex while sitting on a toilet, threesomes, gravity-defying positions, and a lady using a strap-on device. Photos are VG-EX with varying degrees of yellow tinting, adding an antique look that belies the obvious: nothing about sex is really new.
