Early 1990's Ozzie Smith Game Used Bat (34")
The newest Cooperstonian made use of this signature model Louisville Slugger C235 on a road trip to play the Mets at Shea. It was acquired there by a bat boy for the visitor's clubhouse, given to the young man in exchange for a watercolor portrait the bat boy had done of Ozzie. LOA from the bat boy explains that Smith hit a double with this bat, and scored what he believed to be his 1,000th career run. Bat shows good use with some dead wood on the barrel, and a NRMT black sharpie inscription reading, "To John, Good Luck! Ozzie Smith." Number "1" in marker on knob and end of barrel.
